What is junk in golf?
Junk (also called dots, garbage, or trash) is a set of little side bets for one-off feats: a greenie for closest on a par 3, a sandie for an up-and-down from a bunker, a barkie for a par after hitting a tree, and whatever else your group invents.
Do the names matter?
Not at all. Every group calls them something different. All that matters is the value — set what each one is worth, and award it when someone earns it.
What are common junk bets?
Greenie, sandie, barkie, birdie, chip-in, polie (inside the flagstick), and arnie (a par without hitting the fairway) are common. Add your own — the tool takes any name.
