SKINS Golf

Rabbit Golf Game Rules

Players: 3 to 4

A 'rabbit' is loose at the start of each nine. Win a hole outright and you 'catch the rabbit'. Hold it to the end of the nine and you win that nine. The catch: anyone who wins a hole outright takes the rabbit from you.

Catching and holding

Nobody owns the rabbit until a player wins a hole outright. From then on, the rabbit changes hands every time a different player wins a hole. Tie a hole and the rabbit keeps running with whoever already holds it (some groups 'free' the rabbit on a tie).

Whoever holds the rabbit when the nine ends wins. Most groups reset and run a fresh rabbit on the back nine.

Common questions

How do you play the Rabbit golf game?

Win a hole outright to catch the rabbit; hold it (by being the last to win a hole) until the end of the nine to win. Reset for the back nine.

What happens to the rabbit on a tied hole?

It usually keeps running with the current holder; some groups free the rabbit so no one holds it until the next outright win.
